How to use the Flora washi tape

I wanted to show how to use the gorgeous Extraordinary Flora washi tape (165269) that coordinates with the Extraordinary Flora bundle (165245). (The die alone is no. 165244 if you don’t want the stamp set.) 

The washi tape images exactly match the die. There are sets of coordinating colour flowers and foliage, repeating the pattern with different colour combinations for the whole, enormous length of 10 yards, 9.1 metres!

First, you need to stick some of the Flora washi tape to a piece of cardstock 14cm x 8.5cm (3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). I used Basic White, but you could use any colour cardstock you want. Use your bone folder to smooth out any wrinkles. Here’s the length of Flora washi I used, together with the die. I used scissors to cut off the washi tape where I wanted. (Note this piece also has the end part pattern from the start of the tape.)

Cut out all the washi tape images in one go with the die, then use as many or as few as you want for your card.

Prepare your card base. I used Strawberry Slush to match the washi tape flower colours. I also cut two arches using the Arches Dies.

I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Everyday Arches stamp set across the centre of one arch for the front of the card, and stamped “With love” from the Extraordinary Flora set for the inside.

I used a flower (and leaf) stamp from Lifetime of Love for the inside of my card and for the envelope, but any flower or leaf stamp would do from your stash. I coloured them using Strawberry Slush and Granny Apple Green blends.

I adhered the arches to my card base then added the washi tape die-cut flowers and leaves around the front, adding a few In Color gems to finish the card.
