Here is the first of my 12 Cards for Christmas projects. We made this pine wreath card in my free Craftalong today using the gorgeous Noel Tidings bundle, but you can make it using any pine branch and cone stamps you may have, or you could use holly leaves and berries. Use your stash! I also used some retired DSP, Tidings of Christmas.

I used gold Wink of Stella to make the pine cones twinkle!

To make this pine wreath card you need:

  • Peaceful Pine card base 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”)
  • DSP 1: 10.1cm x 14.4cm (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”)
  • DSP 2: approx 7.5cm x 11.5cm (3″ x 5″)
  • Basic White: 9.5cm x 13.8cm (3¾” x 5”)
  • Peaceful Pine cardstock 1/4 sheet for die cutting wreath
  • Scrap of Basic White for stamping
  • Peaceful Pine and Pecan Pie ink pads
  • Gold Wink of Stella

The instructions are below and/or you can watch the video at the end of this post.

Instructions

Fold and burnish the pine wreath card base. Glue the DSP 1 sheet to the front of the card.

Die-cut the large oval shape from the DSP 2 piece.

Die-cut the wreath from the Peaceful Pine piece – if you have adhesive sheets, add this to your cardstock before die-cutting!

Adhere the oval to the centre front of your card then add the wreath on top.

Stamp your sentiment in Peaceful Pine and die-cut. Adhere across the card using dimensionals.

Stamp two pine branches in Peaceful Pine and five pine cones in Pecan Pie.

Colour the pine cones using gold Wink of Stella (or use a water painter then add clear Wink of Stella).

Die-cut all these pieces and arrange them as shown on the front of the card, using dimensionals.

Stamp an inside sentiment on the Basic WHite peice in Peaceful Pine.

Add a stamped Peaceful Pine pine branch in the bottom right corner, then add one or two Pecan Pie pine cones, colouring again using gold WInk of Stella.

Adhere inside your pine wreath card:

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped a pine branch and cones as inside the card, though I placed the second pine cone better!

Here is the card I made in the Craftalong. I decided to make a landscape version:

I hope you like this card and will have a go at making one – please show me what you come up with.
