Here is the second of my 12 Cards for Christmas projects. I made this bough frame card in my free craft live today using the gorgeous Noel Tidings bundle, but you can make it using any branch stamp set you may have. I also used some retired DSP, Tidings of Christmas.
I used clear Wink of Stella to make the berries twinkle!
To make this bough frame card you need:
- Peaceful Pine card base 10.5cm x 29.6cm scored at 14.8cm (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”)
- DSP layer: 10.1cm x 14.4cm (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”)
- Basic White card: around 1/4 sheet for stamping and die-cutting
- Basic White layer for inside: 9.5cm x 13.8cm (3¾” x 5”)
- Peaceful Pine and Misty Moonlight (or other coordinating) ink pads
- Cherry Cobbler marker or blends
- Clear Wink of Stella

The instructions are below and/or you can watch the video at the end of this post.
Instructions
Fold and burnish the bough frame card base. Glue the DSP layer to the front of the card.
Die-cut the large oval shape from Basic White cardstock
Stamp several boughs – I stamped eight. Stamp one then stamp a second without reinking the stamp to get variety. Die or fussy cut these. You need enough to surround your oval.
Colour a remaining scrap of Basic White with Cherry Cobbler ink and die-cut or punch around 12 small berries / circles
Stamp your greeting in a coordinating colour (I used Misty Moonlight) across the centre of the die-cut oval.
Adhere the oval to the centre front of your card using dimensionals.
Add the boughs, overlapping them slightly, on top to frame the oval.
Adhere your berries in clusters of three around your created bough frame. Colour with clear Wink of Stella.

Stamp an inside sentiment on the Basic White piece in Misty Moonlight.
Add a bough in Peaceful Pine stamping once then stamping again without re-inking
Add a few more berries coloured with clear Wink of Stella.
Adhere inside your pine wreath card:

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped the bough as before and added berries to match the inside of the card.
Here is the video of me making this bough frame card. I apologise profusely for it being both backwards and blurry – when I have time I will replace it:
I hope you like this card and will have a go at making one – please show me what you come up with.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
