Christmas is getting closer so for week 10 of the Christmas Countdown I show you how to make some quick and easy gift tags using punches, dies and stamp sets. You can use these ideas as the base for gift tags for other occasions during the year too.

Christmas gifting kitI also show you a new kit – the Christmas Gifting kit. Each tag in the kit has a pocket attached behind which is perfect for giving gift cards or vouchers. As always everything you need is included in the kit.

Keep the pushed-out centre bits too to make more Christmas cards or tags!

Celebrate with Tags stamp set and diesI loved the Celebrate with Tags stamp set as soon as I saw it.

The matching Celebration Tags dies are so versatile and can be used for many different occasions, not only for Christmas.

Celebration tags

I have made several tags using this bundle and the Santa Express DSP. They are so quick and easy to make up and the longer tag fits a gift card into the pocket it makes.

You can write inside the smaller tag, and you can write a greeting on the back of the larger pocket tag.

I used several current punches for the sentiments: the Lasting Label and Label Me Fancy punches.

Scottie tags

I also had fun making my own tags from cardstock, a coordinating piece of DSP and the gorgeous Christmas Scottie stamp set and punch.

The cardstock piece I used is 10.5cm x 5cm and the DSP piece is 8.5cm x 4.8cm. I used a retired tag punch for the end but you could just use a trimmer to form a tag end by cutting off a small triangle each side and then punch a small hole in the middle.

I rounded the bottom corners of the tag and also all four corners of the DSP.

I used the third largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut the circles from Basic White for the front of each tag. Stamp your sentiment in ink to match your card colour. I used the third largest rectangle Stylish Shapes die to stick on the reverse of each tag and stamped the “to and from” from the Christmas Gifting kit.

I added a Scottie dog punched out of Basic Black card – this means I can have the dog facing either way for variation! I added a bow punched from a scrap of the coordinating DSP.

I finished the tags with the gorgeous iridescent trim.

Watch the video to see the tags and see more about making them.

Have fun trying out some of these ideas with your own craft supplies.
