July blog hop: Seaside / Coastal

This month’s Build & Bloom Stampers blog hop theme is Seaside / Coastal.

I used the gorgeous Sunset Coast bundle to make this coastal card, together with the fantastic Scenic Coast specialty DSP.

To make this coastal card you will need:

• Basic White cardstock base 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”)
• Blueberry Bushel cardstock layer: 10cm x 14.3cm (4” x 5¼”)
• DSP layer 2: 9.5cm x 13.8cm (3¾” x 5”)
• Basic White and Balmy Blue scraps for die-cutting
• Blends for colouring of your choice

Here are the bits you need with the dies showing what you need to die-cut:

Fold and burnish the card base.

Adhere the DSP to the card front.

Die-cut the lighthouse in the Blueberry Bushel layer as shown. Die0cut the birds and shells from Basic WHite. Die0cuit the net from Balmy Blue.

Stamp the image you want inside the card, plus stamp your chosen sentiment on a Basic White scrap in Blueberry Bushel ink.

I coloured the shells with Dark Barely Blush and light Pretty in Pink and the starfish with Crisp Cantaloupe blends.

Add foam strips to the cardstock layer.

Add to the front of your coastal card, positioning it carefully.

Adhere the net to the front of your card, with the seashells, some on dimensionals, to the side. add the seagulls to the top of the card as shown.

Stamp your inside greeting in Blueberry Bushel.

Finish this coastal card by decorating your envelope. I stamped the yachts from the stamp set in Blueberry Bushel.
