I put a sentiment on just about every card I make. My usual sentiment is stamped on a scarp of card then shaped in some way – trimmed, punched, or die cut – before being added to the card. But I find I can get into a rut and do a very similar thing with each sentiment on most cards.

So I thought I would show you seven simple suggestions for sexing up your sentiments.

In these videos and sentiment examples,  I’ve used the same basic design for each card – black and white DSP on a Basic White card base decorated with poppies from the gorgeous Painted Poppies stamp set and Painted Label dies. The sentiments are all from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, which is definitely a keeper. All the products used can be found at the bottom of this post.

Here are the first few suggestions for sexing up your sentiments. The second part with the remaining sentiment suggestions will be published next week. A pdf showing all seven suggestions is available if you want one – just ask!
