Christmas is coming…so this week I’m showing you how to use white embossing powder and inks to produce three different Christmas cards.
I love using embossing powder. I will never tire of the magic of watching the heat gun turn the dull embossing powder into a gorgeous shiny image! But all too often we tend to get into a rut of only using embossing powder to gloss up sentiments and there is so much more you can do.
I made these cards live during a live online Craftalong session – sign up to my email list at craftycarolscards.co.uk to receive the details and link if you want to join me at a future session (usually held twice a month, see dates above).
In this video I show you:
- how to paint on an embossing image,
- how to use blending brushes over a white embossed image to produce a striped background and
- how to colour with white ink.
I have finished the two kraft cards differently, cutting one to the full size of my card base and the other to have a white border. But I can’t decide which I prefer. Please comment below about which kraft card you think is best! And I’d love to hear about your makes.
There are many other ways to use embossing powders. I may have to make another video in future…
