We are nearly at the end of another catalogue – where does time go? So I wanted to make some cards with the Amazing Silhouette set I haven’t yet used and which is retiring. I also wanted to celebrate some retiring colours in my cards.
This Amazing Silhouette set has three beautiful inkstinctive large image stamps. The tree stamp is my favourite but it is a big stamp – and that’s where the Stamparatus comes in. The Stamparatus is a lovely tool which is sadly retiring from the catalogue, although it will be still available while stocks last online only.
In the video, I show you how to set up your stamp and card on the Stamparatus so you get your silhouette image just where you want it. The beauty of the Stamparatus is that you can re-ink your stamp as many times as you want and it will always stamp exactly where you placed it.
To make your Stamparatus silhouette card you need:
- Base Soft Suede cardstock 21cm x 14.8cm, scored in half at 10.5cm
- Colour layer (Mango Melody or Pear Pizzazz) 14.3cm x 10cm
- Very Vanilla cardstock (x2) 13.8cm x 9.5cm
- Scrap of Very Vanilla 9.5cm x 2cm
- Scrap of colour layer cardstock 10cm x 2.5cm
I stamped the image onto the Very Vanilla layer. Once happy with it I stuck all the layers together using multipurpose glue.
Then I chose a sentiment (from the retiring Peaceful Moments stamp set) to stamp onto the strip of Very Vanilla. This was layered into the colour strip and added to the card using dimensionals. Decorate the Very Vanilla inside of your card with a sentiment if you want and use the large stamp in the corner. And don’t forget to stamp your envelope, too.
I made two more cards using the other stamps from the Amazing Silhouette set as you can see.
These use the same size layers just in different colours. I used stamps from the retiring Decorative Borders set around the edges for the butterfly card, plus some (retiring) brass butterflies.
