I love the Season of Green and Gold Suite. The Season of Elegance DSP from the suite is fabulous, with random patterns in gold on backgrounds of different colours. DSP to die for!
Who has DSP they don’t want to use because it is too gorgeous? This Seaosn of Elegance DSP is so beautiful I struggled to use it at first, but today, it forms the background layer for my card. I’ve teamed it up with the Golden Greenery stamp set. The sentiment is from Greetings of the Season.
Here’e a closer look at the front of the card:
To make this card you need (US sizes in brackets):
- Very Vanilla card base 10.5cm x 29.6cm scored at 14.8cm (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”)
- Season of Elegance DSP 10cm x 14.3cm (4” x 5¼”)
- Very Vanilla piece for the die-cut circle approx. 7cm x 7cm (2¾” x 2¾”)
- Gold foil piece for die cutting approx. 9cm x 9cm (3½” x 3½”)
- Old Olive and Mossy Meadow pieces approx. 9cm x 9cm (3½” x 3½”) for die cutting
- Very Vanilla scrap for the sentiment approx. 9cm x 4cm (3½” x 1½”)
- Golden Greenery bundle
- Greetings of the Season stamp set
- Stylish Shapes dies or other similar dies
- Gold embossing powder
- Very Vanilla ribbon
Fold and burnish the card base. Adhere the Season of Elegance DSP layer on the front.
Die cut the second largest Stylish Shapes circle in Very Vanilla. Die cut three smaller boughs from Old Olive and one large sprig from Mossy Meadow. Die cut the other large sprig from gold foil.
Stick the Very Vanilla circle to the centre front of the card.
Arrange the boughs and sprigs around the circle – I trimmed the sprigs down to give me more, smaller, pieces. Stick these to the card front.
Emboss your sentiment in gold on the Very Vanilla scrap. Use the largest Stylish Shapes banner die to cut it out. See the video below for how to use this die to cut a shorter banner. Add to the card front using dimensionals.
Stamp your sentiment inside the card using Versamark and gold emboss. Add leaf sprig decorations stamped in Mossy Meadow to the card inside. Please also decorate your envelope. You can either add stamped sprigs, or add some of the Season of Elegance DSP to the flap, or both – your choice!
