In the video below I show you how to make a pop-up card with an integral gift holder. You can use the pocket for a gift card, cheque, money or a bookmark, as I have done. The pocket can be either on the left or right-hand side of the card – you choose. I have chosen to put it on the left of this card as you can see from the picture.

I used the Irresistible Blooms bundle and Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make mine, but you can adapt it to any other stamp set and DSP you have. Here is the front of the card – with a decorated envelope too of course!

The project uses a normal card base, 14.8cm x 21cm scored in half at 10.5cm. I’ve chosen to use a contrasting colour for the layers on the front and inside panel of the card, but on my first card, as you can see in the video, I used two similar colours.

I also used a full piece of DSP for the back panel of the card, but you could cut this down to leave space to write a greeting or stamp other images if you wanted. Similarly with the panel(s) on the pop-up – they can be decorative or you can use them to write a greeting. Your choice!

Full instructions are in the pdf (available from my website shop) or you can watch the video where I give you the dimensions and measurements you need plus I show you how to put the card together. There is a knack for getting the pop-up panel to stick in the right place.

I hope you have a go and enjoy making this card gift holder. Let me know!
