I got carried away making cards with the gorgeous Poinsettia Petals stamp set and matching dies!

Measurements

Feel free to mix and match different colours and DSPs, either monochrome or colour

  • Base card 21cm x 14.8cm, score in half 10.5cm
  • Silver foil layer 14.8 x 8.6cm
  • DSP layer 14.8 x 8 cm
  • Shimmery White cardstock to cut three Poinsettia layers plus scrap for sentiment
  • Silver foil scraps for branches
  • Pearls for centre of poinsettia, or cut a centre from silver foil
  • Silver embossing powder for sentiment

Stick DSP to silver foil layer and stick to base card.

Cut the three layers of poinsettia petals with their embossed centres from shimmery white cardstock. (or cut out stamped images if you prefer)

Form poinsettia flower by sticking layers together with multipurpose glue, curling petals as you go.

Stamp sentiment onto scrap in Versamark and emboss with silver embossing powder.

Stick sentiment, completed flower and branches to left hand side of card.

Stamp inside of card and don’t forget the envelope!

  • Base card 21cm x 14.8cm, score in half 10.5cm
  • Gold foil layer 14.3 x 10cm
  • White card layer 13.8 x 9.5 cm plus scrap for sentiment
  • Real Red cardstock to cut three Poinsettia layers 
  • Gold foil scraps for branches and flower centre (or cut from centre of gold panel)
  • Gold embossing powder for sentiment
  • Gold foil strip 9 x 1cm (can also be cut from centre of gold panel)
  • Embossing folder of your choice

Run white card layer through your chosen embossing folder – I used Painted Texture

Die cut two branches and flower centre from gold foil

Adhere to gold foil layer and stick to card base.

Die cut three embossed layers of poinsettia flower from Real Red cardstock, curl petals as required and assemble the layers together using multipurpose glue.

Stamp sentiment in Versamark and emboss with gold embossing powder. Add gold strip to show underneath and trim arrow at right hand edge as shown.Stick to front of card.

Add flower and branches. I added a gold gem to the centre of the flower too.

Stamp inside of card and envelope as required.

Measurements

Base card

Base card stock 21cm x 14.8cm, score at 10.5cm. Cut a 5cm strip off right hand side of front of card.

Layer 14.4cm x 5.1cm

Top layer DSP:13.9cm x 4.6cm

Insert: Layer: 14.5cm x 10.2cm

Card: 14cm x 9.7cm

Front fold flap 

Base card  9.5cm x 9cm scored on long edge at 1.5cm

Layer 1: 8.6cm x 7.6cm

Layer 2: 8.1cm x 7.1cm

You will also need

Scraps for sentiment and layer

Card for poinsettia

Scraps of gold or silver foil card for sprigs, embellishments, rhinestones or gems

Stamp insert card as required, remembering to make sure only wanted images show on right hand side. Adhere to foil layer.

Fold front flap along score line then stick flap behind centre of card and foil insert layer.

Stick flap layers together and stick onto the flap.

For front of card, stick DSP to foil layer and add to left hand flap of base card.

Die cut and emboss three poinsettia layers, curl petals and fowl flower using multipurpose glue.

Die cut two sprigs or two leaves from foil. Assemble flower and sprigs or leaves onto flap as shown.

Stamp sentiment onto scrap. Die cut or punch out sentiment plus a slightly larger foil circle. Stick layers together then stick to top left corner of card with a dimensional, so that the flap tucks neatly and easily underneath

 

Hole mix

Measurements

  • Basic white card base 29.6 x 10.5 cm, score in half 14.8cm
  • Gold foil /metallic card layer 14.3cm x10cm
  • White card layer 12cm x 8.5cm
  • Gold Shimmer Vellum or Metallic card for cutting out poinsettia pieces
  • Green shimmer vellum or silver/gold foil scraps for leaves/sprigs

Cut out the white panel with the second largest Scalloped Contour die or other similar die.

Add chosen sentiment to bottom right hand corner

Die cut three poinsettia layers from gold shimmer vellum or metallic cardstock and die cut sprigs or leaves and centres as required from green shimmer scraps or foil scraps.

Form the flower as before, adding a gold gem or foil centre. Place as shown and add leaves or sprigs as wanted.

Don’t forget to stamp the card inside and the envelope!
