The Peaceful Garden suite caught my eye as soon as I browsed the September to December mini catalogue. The range of sentiments in the stamp set means it is suitable for just about any occasion. The dies are gorgeous, with two doves, sentiment frames, stars and foliage and some tiny dies that cut triangular slots. The DSP is fabulous in blues, greens, grey and beige, there is a pack of six sheets of glimmer paper in three colours, plus a 3D embossing folder to outline the frames, the lovely Misty Moonlight silver-edged ribbon. and some pretty flower gems in hues of blue.
I had so many ideas for cards it was difficult to stick to just three! I decided to make two Christmas cards and one sympathy card. The first two are landscape cards and are similar but with colours reversed, the third is a portrait card.
Peaceful Garden Card 1:
Here are the pieces you need:

- Basic White card base 10.5cm x 29.6cm scored at 14.8cm (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”)
- Colour piece for embossing 10cm x 14cm (4” x 5¼”)
- Blue Glimmer card for larger frame
- Scraps of Basic White for smaller frame, doves and branches
- 17cm (6″) ribbon
Emboss the colour card piece using the 3D embossing folder and die-cut the other pieces you need.
Use tear & tape to stick your ribbon across the centre of the embossed card.
Stick the embossed piece to the card front.
Add the glimmer paper frame in the centre.
Stamp Peace on Earth in the same colour ink in the centre of the white card frame. Add to your card on top of the glimmer frame.
Decorate with leaves and add the doves using dimensionals. The doves can “hold” the small branches.
Stamp a greeting inside the card and add any decoration you want. I used the stars from last year’s Stars at Night stamp set.
Don’t forget to decorate your envelope!
