As this post is published I will be in Vienna, Austria, having a marvellous time at our Stampin’ Up! On Stage event! There I will be meeting loads of other demonstrators from Europe and even worldwide. Because of Covid, we have not been able to meet in person for three years, so it is an exciting time.

At these events we all make swaps to share. For every swap I give to another demonstrator, I receive another make back in return, which means I will come home with loads of ideas for future projects.

This box was the swap I made – over 70 of them! These boxes, my own design, use 6 x 5″ DSP and they are decorated with the Scottie dog punch. I filled them with Biscoff biscuits, but they also fit small chocolate bars or wrapped chocolates.

Cutting diagramThe box is made from DSP 6″ x 5″.  Score on the longer side at ½’, 1”, 2 5/8”, 3 3/8”, 5” & 5 ½” Score the shorter side at ¾” and 4 ¼”. Cut as shown in the picture.

I show you how to cut and assemble the box in the video by glueing the sides, making sure they are properly lined up at the top, then using glue dots to hold the top shut.

I used the Christmas Scottie dog punch for the decorations together with the “Hello” sentiment from the Hello Ladybug stamp set, but you can use any sentiment or image you want of course.

The boxes are great for small gifts and would make lovely table favours for Christmas. Although I think I will be sick of making them by then!

I hope you enjoy trying these out. They are a great way to use all that DSP you might have lying around. The Scottie dog will feature again in another Countdown very soon too….watch this space!
