New year, new blog hop! This month’s Build & Bloom Stampers blog hop theme is Love & Friendship. Sometimes you just want a card that celebrates a friend and what they mean to you. I used my current favourite bundle, Woolly Friends, to make this fun Friendship card and I used my favourite technique, heat embossing.

To make this card you will need:
- Balmy Blue card base 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”)
- True Blue Florals DSP 10cm x 14.3cm (4” x 5¼”)
- Basic White pieces for sentiment and die-cutting the sheep
- Black sequins (or emboss white ones!)
- Black embossing powder
- Versamark ink

Instructions
Score and burnish the card base.
Make yourself a template for the stamps by punching a set out of white card. Mark the direction into the punch. Use this template to place your stamps correctly, then pick them up on your block for stamping. You can also stamp on the blank punched shapes if you prefer.
Stamp one standing sheep and one jumping sheep plus a bow or bell (or both) as you wish. Punch the first sheep set. Sadly you have to fussy cut the jumping sheep! Colour using Balmy Blue blends as shown.

Rub the DSP with your embossing buddy, then stamp the butterfly with Versamark ink randomly across the top and the grass strip repeatedly around 3cm up from the bottom – it does not have to be straight, it’s grass!
Add black embossing powder and heat set. (Alternatively, stamp with NIght of Navy ink if you do not want to do heat embossing.)
Stamp your chosen sentiment using Versamark ink and heat set.

Adhere the completed DSP to the card front.
Stick the sheep bodies flat to the card front, then add the heads and bell/bow as shown using dimensionals. Note: I added open eyes using a black marker pen. Your choice!
Die cut the sentiment using the Stylish Shapes banner die.
Add to the bottom right of the card front using dimensionals.
Add some black gems or sequins to decorate.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment and butterfly in Night of Navy ink – or you could emboss this too if you wish.
Don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I used the small butterfly stamp on my envelope.
