A quick and easy way to kick start an idea for a card is to use a prepared card base and matching envelope. Using a prepared card base gives you a colour base to work from. You can then choose some coordinating inks and a favourite stamp set and you’re off.  Another bonus is that the envelopes are already decorated – one less job to do!

Stampin’ Up! have a lovely range of card and envelope sets you can choose from. The ones I used today are the lovely Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam card and envelope set you can get for free, but only until the end of August, with a £45 order. I’ve combined these with the Cup of Tea stamp set and dies, and some vellum cut with the Stylish Shapes circles.

Have a look at the catalogues for more card and envelope sets. In the main catalogue, there is a gorgeous Texture Chic Memories and more cards and envelopes set (item 159202) which has gold foil accents – very swish! There’s also the Tea Boutique cards and envelopes set which uses all the gorgeous new In Colors (item 159270). And in the July to December mini catalogue there are the Santa Express cards and envelopes set in red and green Christmas colours (item 159596).

So there are plenty to choose from. Have a play and I’d love to see what you come up with.
