I like to have a calendar on my desk so I can quickly check the date. Plus my brain struggles to remember which day it is never mind the date – time seems to go by more quickly as we age, doesn’t it?
These little desk calendars are so quick and easy to make. They make lovely small gifts for family and friends – I am giving them to all my clients this month. All you need is some A4 cardstock and some pretty designer series paper (DSP): Stampin’ Up! has such a wonderful range. I get my wee calendar blocks from Amazon. You can buy them in packs of 10, 20 or 50.
The paper I used for these calendars was FREE from the Saleabration range. You can get a pack of DSP for every £45 of products you order from any catalogue until the end of February. And there are no limits to how much you spend or get for free. If you spent £450 you could get all the free items, or ten of one item, or a mix – but if your wish list is that long, talk to me first!
You can see how I made these calendars in the video. Full written instructions are below.
For these calendars you need:
- A4 cardstock cut in half lengthwise (10.5cm x 29.5cm)
- A piece of coordinating DSP cut to 10cm x 11.5cm
- A calendar tab (or make your own with the Days to Remember stamp set)
Score the cardstock on the long side at 12cm, 24cm, 26 cm and 28 cm.
Adhere the DSP to the centre panel.
Fold the base to form a “W” shape (mountain, valley then mountain folds). Add tape to the outside of the final flap and fold down the main back flap over it to stick the calendar together.
Add your calendar tab plus any other embellishments you want – you can add stamped flowers or other small images or add gems or sequins.
Watch out for a second video in a few days time to show how you can make any custom size desk calendars.
