Here is the second Easter card we made in our Craft’n’Chat class. I’ve called it a centre flap panel Easter card and it is easy to make. The centre flap panel on this Easter card lifts to show a second image and sentiment demonstrating the true meaning of Easter. I’ve used the gorgeous Faith Collection bundle again for this card.

To make this panel Easter card you will need:

  • Crumb Cake card base 21cm x 14.8cm (8½” x 5½”)
  • Basic White piece for panel: 21cm x 6cm (8½” x 2″)
  • Basic White piece for inside the card: 9.5cm x 13.8cm (3¾” x 5”)
  • Basic White piece for stamping and die-cutting: 6cm x 10cm (2″ x 4″)
  • Pecan Pie, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight ink pads
  • Approx 9-10cm Daffodil Delight ribbon

Score the card base at 10.5cm (4¼”). Fold in half and burnish well.

Also score the panel piece in half at 10.5cm (4¼”). Fold and burnish well.

Stamp the solid (or wood effect) cross twice in Pecan Pie, one image on the left of the card front and one on the right as shown in the pictures.

Stamp the palm frond below each of the crosses, turning it round through 180 degrees, to form a base for each cross.

On the front of the panel piece, stamp the cross outlined by fronds in Lemon Lime Twist.

Stamp the wood effect cross on the inside of the panel piece in Pecan Pie.

Then stamp the sunburst stamp four times around the arms of this cross.

Finish the inside panel by stamping He is Risen in Pecan Pie as shown:

To complete the front, stamp the wooden cross again in Pecan Pie on the spare piece of Basic White. Also stamp the lily flowers on the same piece. Die-cut out all three images.

Wrap a short piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon around the arms of the cross as shown in the video, holding it in place with a small piece of tear & tape behind the cross.

Fix the ribbon to the cross front by using glue dots rolled into narrow strips – see the video if you are unsure.

Then add the completed cross to the front panel using dimensionals.

Complete the panel Easter card front by adding a few gems.

Stamp a sentiment on the inside panel and decorate with the lily flowers stamped in Memento and coloured using Daffodil Delight stampin blends. Adhere to the inside of your card.

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope – I stamped and coloured the flowers again to match the inside of the panel Easter card.
