I’m a bit of a chocoholic. I am partial to an Easter egg or several and Lindt make the most gorgeous mini eggs. So I designed a box to hold ten of these mini chocolate eggs. I had to have several attempts and made two boxes with mistakes first which you can see in the video.
To make a gift box you will need:
- Cardstock 23.5cm x 11.5cm. Score LS at 1.5cm and 3cm from each end. Score SS at 2cm, 5 cm, 7 cm and 10 cm
- DSP 17cm x 2.75cm (x2)
- DSP 17cm x 1.75cm (x2)
The cardstock piece is scored as above and folded, and then the ends are trimmed and cut as shown in the picture below and demonstrated in the video.
Add the DSP pieces to the sides before assembling the box.
The video shows how to cut and add the pieces if you are using pictorial or directional DSP – I used the now-retired Daffodil Afternoon DSP.
The ends are formed and tabs are stuck together as shown in the video.
These boxes would also hold pens, pencils or crayons or other sorts of small sweets or gifts. Let me know how you will use yours.
