Cracker cards are way to make one you know what you’re doing!
They fit easily into a 5″ envelope which you can buy from craft shops, or you can make your own “to fit” envelope using the envelope score board (ask me if you need help with that!)
Measurements – base card
- Very Vanilla cardstock 12” x 4”
INSTRUCTIONS
Score base cardstock at 2, 4, 8, 10”. Make a tiny mark at 6” then score diagonally from top and bottom of both the 2” and 10” scorelines to the 6” mark.
Fold and burnish all score lines as shown in the pic above (also see my video on YouTube). Squeeze gently together, pushing the small upper and lower triangular areas back on each side to form the card as shown in the main picture.
For decorations:
- Gold foil square 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
- Gold foil square 2 ¾” x 2 ¾“
- DSP square 2 ½” x 2 ½”
- Two DSP panels 3 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Take the larger gold foil square and place in your trimer so that one corner abuts the 1 ¾” mark. Check it’s lined up straight by ensuring the top and bottom corners line up at the ¼” mark on the other side of the cutting strip. Cut off that triangle, then repeat on the other side to produce two triangles.
Keep the centre cut out piece for the sentiment layer.
Stamp your sentiment on a scrap of very vanilla and fussy cut. Stick to your centre cut out piece with Tombow.
Assemble your card as shown, putting your sentiment strip on dimensionals
Products used are below, plus any DSP of your choice! (I used a retired DSP)
