How to make a simple centre panel card

This Cutest Crew centre panel card has a simple layout that can be adapted to many other stamp sets. You can use coloured cardstock or DSP for the background piece. It can be made for any occasion by changing the image, cardstock/DSP and sentiment used.

There is quite a lot of colouring, but this gorgeous stamp set/bundle is worth it. I’ve used the dogs stamp, but you could use the cats or birds to make a similar card – or use any other strip-type stamp set!

To make this card you need:

• Basic White card base 10.5cm x 29.6cm scored at 14.8cm (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”)
• Strip of Peach Pie cardstock 14.8cm x 5cm (5½” x 2″)
• Strip of Basic White cardstock 14.8cm x 4cm (5½” x 1½”)
• Scraps of Basic White for stamping additional animals and the sentiment
• Scrap of Peach Pie cardstock for the sentiment layer
• Memento, Pecan Pie and Peach Pie ink pads
• Lots of different blends….

Fold and burnish the card base.

Stamp the paws across the bottom and top of the card using Peach Pie ink, stamped off if you prefer – your choice as to whether they all go the same way or different ways! Use this stamp to decorate the inside of your card and the envelope, too.

Adhere the Peach Pie strip across the centre of the card front.

Stamp the dogs (or cats or birds) across the Basic White strip in Memento ink. You will need to stamp it twice to fill the strip. (Note: If you don’t want two flowers where they join, mask one out when reinking your stamp, as shown in the video.)

Stamp a section of the stamp on a scrap of Basic White for additional dogs to add with dimensionals.

Colour the dogs and flowers.

Die-cut the additional dogs.

Adhere the completed dogs strip to the centre of the coloured strip.

Add additional dogs using dimensionals where ever you want.

Stamp the sentiment in Pecan Pie onto a scrap of Basic White and trim.

Layer onto a scrap of Peach Pie.

Add to the card front using dimensionals.

Stamp another sentiment on the inside of your card in Pecan Pie.
