Do you sometimes find it difficult to find inspiration when you want to make a card? I certainly do, so one trick that usually works is to CASE our catalogues. CASE can stand for Copy And Share Everything and that’s what I show you in this video. I browsed our lovely Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue to find an idea to CASE. I’ve used the gorgeous Blessings of Home bundle together with the Splendid Day DSP.

The catalogues are a great source of inspiration of ideas to CASE. There are so many pictures of samples made with the current sets on nearly every page that you can use as the basis for a card. Either browse through for ideas to CASE or you can look specifically at the pages for the stamp set you want to use – either method works.

For these cards, I used one of the ideas on the Blessings at Home page (p75 of the annual catalogue) as the basis. I changed things for the first card slightly, which is one of the things about CASEing cards – you don’t have to stick rigidly to the idea you spotted. You can change the colours, change how the elements are put together or use different images or sentiments – it’s up to you.

In making the first card, I had the idea for the second card. Both are different from the item I CASEd – and that’s the beauty of crafting. One idea can kick start another.

Why not browse the catalogues today to find some inspiration? It will usually kick start your imagination and you’ll end up by making some lovely cards. And a final tip: I keep all my old catalogues too, just to use for inspiration when I’m stuck!

Oh – and if you’d like the instructions to make these two cards, just ask.
