Here are some simple black and white based cards with a coloured main element, using frames and layers with just a little sparkle!

I used the free Beautifully Penned DSP, Basic White card bases cut in different ways and Stampin Blends to colour. The images are fussy cut but you could use any flower and leaf set to make similar cards, such as Flowers of Friendship, which I used on the envelopes.

I used the Hippo Happiness dies for the background and frames, but any layering dies would work. I also used the Lovely Labels punch for the long sentiment. Sentiments were from Peaceful Moments and Lovely You stamp sets.

Measurements

  • Basic White card 10.5cm x 29.3cm (half A4 sheet lengthways), score at 10.5cm and 25.2cm
  • Scrap Basic White pieces for shaped die cut and for sentiment
  • Basic Black 7.3cm x 11.3 cm
  • DSP 7cm x 11cm
  • Basic Rhinestones

Fold and burnish white card score lines to form the flap card.

Adhere the DSP to the basic Back base and stick the die cut shape on top. Stick to the left hand side of the flap base being careful not to get glue on the free edge.

Colour and fussy cut two flower groups from the Beautifully Penned paper, or stamp, colour and cut out stamped flowers and leaves. Stick them to the base and use Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.

Stamp and cut out sentiment strip then add to card using dimensionals. Add rhinestones.

Decorate inside of card and envelope as desired.

Measurements

  • Basic White card 21cm x 14.8cm, scored in half at 10.5cm
  • Basic White mat 8cm x 12 cm
  • Basic black piece for the die cut frame
  • DSP or Basic Black layer 9cm x 13cm

Die cut a frame in Basic Black using two dies one slightly smaller than the other.

Colour and fussy cut two flower groups from Beautifully Penned (or stamp and colour your own). Adhere one group inside the bottom of the frame then stick the frame to the white layer. Stamp a sentiment inside the frame. Add the second group of flowers using dimensionals.

Attach the white mat to the DSP or black layer then stick to the base card. (I used DSP but coloured it with Gray Granite blends so it stood out better.)

Add a ribbon bow and rhinestones as desired. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers for some sparkle.
