Here is the seventh of my 12 Cards for Christmas projects.

I made two versions of this DSP strip cards in the video below using Noel Tidings dies and some retired DSP, Shining Brightly. Luxe Foliage DSP (October’s Product of the Month) would also work well. However, you can make this DSP flap card using any DSP you may have with any Christmas stamp set for the sentiment and decoration.

I used a retired stamp set for the sentiment.

To make this DSP strip card you need:

  • Basic White card base 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”)
  • Night of Navy card strip: 6.5cm x 10.5cm (2½” x 4¼”)
  • DSP strip: 6cm x 10.5cm (2¼” x 4¼”)
  • Night of Navy 2¼” punched circle
  • Basic White 2″ punched circle
  • (OPTIONAL Layer 1 Night of Navy10.1cm x 14.4cm (4” x 5¼”)
  • (OPTIONAL Basic White embossed layer 9.6cm x 13.9cm (3¾” x 5”)
  • Night of Navy ink pad for stamping
  • Strips of DSP to decorate your envelop and inside your card
  • Gems for decoration (if you can find them!!)

The instructions are below and/or you can watch the video at the end of this post.

Instructions

Fold and burnish the base cardstock

EITHER: emboss the front using an embossing folder of your choice – see video for details

OR: add the Night of Navy Panel then emboss the Basic White panel and adhere to card front.

Adhere the Night of Navy strip across the card front below the centre point as shown in the picture. (NOTE: If using the card layers, trim this panel and your DSP panel to 9.6cm (3¾”).

Adhere the DSP strip on top.

Stamp your sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto the Basic White circle.

Adhere to the Night of Navy circle and add to the card front using dimensionals – see the picture for positioning.

Die-cut the Noel Tidings wreath (or stamp and die-cut branches) in Night of Navy and in Basic White. Trim the wreath into smaller sprigs.

Attach around the sentiment circle as shown.

Her is the layered version:

Stamp an inside sentiment in Night of Navy.

Add a strip of DSP for decoration.

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I used a strip of DSP to match the inside of the DSP strip card.

Finish your card with a few navy sparkle gems. (I finally found mine!)

You can make this DSP strip card with any DSP and coordinating colour cardstock.

I hope you like this card and will have a go at making one – please show me what you come up with.
