Normally, there would be live crafting today, but I am travelling back from the On Stage SU conference in Strasbourg. But I’ll be back to normal from next week live on YouTube (@craftycarolscards) or Facebook (craftycarolscards) every Tuesday at 2pm.
The year is rushing by, and Easter is around the corner. I decided it was time to make some Easter cards for our in-person Craft’n’Chat this week, so here is the first one. I’ve used the lovely Faith Collection bundle for both the Easter cards you will see this week – and I have plans for more.
This is a very simple Easter card to make. The highlight is the daffodil Designer Series Paper. The DSP I used for this Easter card is now retired, however, you could use any floral DSP you have, especially if it has spring flowers in the design.

To make this simple Easter card you need:
- Very Vanilla card base 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”)
- Daffodil Delight Layer: 10cm x 14.3cm (4” x 5¼”)
- Floral DSP layer: 9.5cm x 13.8cm (3¾” x 5”)
- Scrap of Very Vanilla for the sentiment
- Daffodil Delight ribbon
Score the card base at 10.5cm (4¼”), fold and burnish.
Adhere the Daffodil Delight layer on the front of the card.
Add the DSP layer. (Or make your own DSP by using a plain Very Vanilla layer stamped with an appropriate floral image and coloured using Blends.)
Stamp the “He is risen” sentiment in Crushed Curry on the scrap of Very Vanilla. Trim the ends on the diagonal as shown in the video.
Add to the front of the Easter card using dimensionals.
Finish with a bow of Daffodil Delight ribbon adhered using a glue dot.
For the inside of the Easter card, I stamped God is Love in Crushed Curry, then stamped the two flowers from the Faith Collection stamp set in Pecan Pie. I coloured the centre with my Stampin Write marker. I decorated the envelope with the same flowers.

Here is the video of how to make this Easter card. It also has a tip about how to tie a bow and not waste ribbon!
I hope you like this card and will have a go at making one – please show me what you come up with.
