As this blog post is published, I will be in Rotterdam at the Stampin’ Up! On Stage event. It’s a tradition that we all take “swaps” to give to other demonstrators, getting theirs in return, which provides us with loads of creative ideas.
This year I have made a mini folded box filled with mini eggs, as shown in the previous post, and also an easy folded box containing two Lotus Biscoff biscuits. This post show you how to make that gift.
To make this mini folded box for two Biscoff biscuits you need:
- Cardstock or thick DSP 11cm x 13cm (4 1/2″ x 5″)
- DSP strip approx 4cm x 13.5 cm (1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″)
Score your cardstock or thick DSP on the longer side at 2cm, 6cm, 8cm and 12cm (1/2″, 2″, 2 1/2″ and 4″) and on the shorter side at 2cm and 9cm (1/2″ each side). It is cut as in the picture below creating four tabs to form the box base plus a foldover tucked in lid. Trim the lid sides and tabs as shown (note: the measurements on the diagram are shown only in centimetres). Be careful to make sure the sides for the bottom of the box are cut straight.
Fold in the four small side tabs, add glue and stick to the box base. Add the two Biscoff biscuits (or other similar-sized small gift) and fold over the lid, tucking it in to secure the box. Wrap the strip of DSP for the belly and around the box and secure with glue. Add your sentiment strip and decoration. I used flowers made in the same way as for the decoration in the previous post about my other Rotterdam swap!
