Sometimes you just need a quick and easy card. This card could be adapted for many other occasions, not just Easter, by changing the centre image and sentiment.
Here I use the gorgeous Dry Brushed Metallic Designer Series Paper (now available as an online exclusive while stocks last) to make a simple panel Easter card which has the addition of a gold foil cross and sentiment.
You will need:
- Base card 21cm x 10.5cm (I used Soft Succulent and Cajun Craze for my two cards)
- Dry Brushed Metallic DSP panel 12cm x 10cm
- Gold foil 9cm x 6cm
- Inner Basic White panel 13.8cm x 9.5cm
- Scrap of foil
- Scrap of Basic White
Score the base card on the long side at 10.5cm and fold in half.
Use your trimmer to cut the DSP into three 4cm panels. Stick these to the front of the card spacing them out evenly. The easiest way to do this is to stick the top and bottom panels first then add the centre panel.
Cut out a cross shape from gold foil. (You can find measurements and various other suggestions for making a cross in the previous post ). Stick to the centre of the card using dimensionals.
Stamp your sentiment onto a Basic White scrap (I used the one from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set). Punch it out using the double oval punch then punch out a foil scalloped oval using the same punch. Stick them together and add to your card.
Stamp a sentiment and/or decoration to the inner Basic White panel as desired. Don’t forget to decorate your envelope too!
