I came across the gorgeous Symbols of Fortune paper almost by accident! The picture in the catalogue does not do it justice. The papers with the gold foil accents are just stunning, so I wanted to show them off by making these simple cards. I’ve also used th Boughs and Blossoms stamp set and Bough punch.
Don’t forget to decorate the insides of the cards and decorate your envelopes!

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a Basic White card base 21 x 14.8cm and score in half. (You could use a Smoky Slate base or smoky slate layer if you wanted)
Cut your chosen Symbols of Fortune paper to fit portrait style 10cm x 14.3cm
Adhere flat to front of card base.
Stamp your sentiment in Smoky Slate. Trim the ends into a flag shape.
Stick to a scrap of smoky slate cardstock and trim ends to match.
Adhere to card with dimensionals
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a Basic White card base 29.6 x 10.3cm and score in half.
Cut a Smoky Slate layer 13.8cm x 9.5cm. Run it through your chosen embossing folder. (I used Tasteful Textile)
Cut your chosen Symbols of Fortune paper 12.3cm x 9cm. Cut into three equal strips (4.1cm each)
Adhere smoky slate layer to front of card. Add strips, equally spaced across the card as shown.
Punch out two boughs in metallic gold card.
Stamp your sentiment in Smoky Slate. Trim the ends diagonally to follow the italic script.
Adhere to card with dimensionals and add the punched out boughs behind.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a Basic White card base 21cm x 14.8cm and score in half.
Cut a Smoky Slate layer 13.8cm x 9.5cm.
Cut four pieces of your chosen Symbols of Fortune paper 4.5cm x 6.6cm – I used two different patterns to alternate
Adhere smoky slate layer to front of card. Add DSP pieces, equally spaced across the card as shown.
Cut two small seed heads in metallic gold paper with your bough punch
Stamp your sentiment in Smoky Slate. Trim the ends diagonally to follow the italic script.
Adhere to centre of card with dimensionals and arrange the seed head cut outs behind
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a Smoky Slate card base 21cm x 14.8cm and score in half.
Cut a Basic White layer 10cm x 14.3cm. (Cut a second layer for the inside of the card if you want.)
Cut your chosen Symbols of Fortune paper 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Adhere white layer and DSP to the front of the card.
Cut out a 6cm x 6cm square of metallic gold card.
Stamp your flower in Smoky Slate on a 5cm x 5cm square of Basic White.
Stamp your chosen sentiment in Smoky Slate onto a scrap of white card. Trim the ends diagonally to match the italic script.
Adhere to card with dimensionals.
Add a brass butterfly or gem(s) if you want.
